Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell have known each other for 40 years. Ms. Harris has recorded some 20 compositions by Mr. Crowell, and he was part of the singer’s stage and studio group for several years.
Despite the close relationship, the duo was never able to fulfil its desire to record an album together—until “Old Yellow Moon” this year. For country folk fans, this album is the culmination of one of the greatest collaborations in the genre. Reunited on stage, here are two true legends of American music.
